Harmony For Peace Peace Messengers

The role of Peace Messenger is bestowed upon an emerging professional musician dedicated to using music as a vehicle to bridge international and cultural relations. Harmony For Peace believes that music is a universal language and can be used to promote peace and understanding, therefore, Harmony For Peace puts full faith in its Peace Messengers to share the power of music with others and spread a message of worldwide peace and hope.

Katsura Sunshine

Katsura Sunshine is the first non-Japanese practitioner of Kamigata (Osaka) style Rakugo and only the second non-Japanese to be trained in Japan. Following his early successes in theatre in his native Canada, he moved to Japan and completed a full Kamigata apprenticeship under master and TV presenter Katsura Bunshi VI, who awarded Katsura Sunshine his stage name as per Rakugo tradition. Katsura Sunshine has been performing Rakugo worldwide ever since, in English and in Japanese, and across four continents.
He has performed for Harmony For Peace at “Peace Through Laughter” held on February 23, 2020 in Philadelphia.

Bronze Doushin

Found in 2000 by Ryuma Sato, current leader of the group who plays guitar and koto.  The group is based in Akita Pref. but actively performing throughout Japan. The recipient of Akita Prefecture Image-Up Award and Yurihonjo City Art & Culture Association Special Prize, Bronze Doushin continues to pursue their mission of contributing back to their hometown of Tohoku, Japan, creating the sound that reflects the Tohoku spirit. The land that was devastated by Japan’s Great Earthquake in 2011, Bronze’s effort will remain strong with their call for the revitalization of the community. Their success of this USA tour will reach to the Tohoku people to encourage them to regain their spirit and support their restoration effort.

Farah Siraj

Farah is a Jordanian virtuoso vocalist named as Jordan's “Musical Ambassadress”, has a career that spans the United States, Europe and the Middle East. She has performed at some of the world's most prestigious venues, including the United Nations, Nobel Prize Hall, the World Economic Forum, the TV show Good Morning Live in the USA, MBC TV in the Middle East and the Antena de Oro Awards, Spain. Farah uses her music to raise awareness of humanitarian causes. She has composed music for and performed at events to raise awareness for the Genocide in Darfur as well as the Democratic Republic of Congo, the turbulence of gun battles in Beirut, and military conflicts in Gaza, all with one strong message of the urgent need for peace and the right to freedom for all people. She continues to use her music to promote a positive change in the world for all people.

Margaret Keys

Margaret Keys performed to an audience of 35,000 in a special International Lakeside BBC Proms concert, and was one of the artists chosen to perform for Pope Francis in a special concert for his visit to the USA in 2015. The concert was broadcast worldwide to an audience of 1.5 million. Margaret was appointed as the only Irish Ambassador for the HRH Prince Of Wales Foundation for Children and Arts.

Gohei Nishikawa
Gohei Nishikawa

A graduate of the Osaka College of Music in piano performance, he moved to his career base to the United States in 1999. Starting his New York debut in 2000, Nishikawa has performed at Lincoln Center's Alice Tully Hall, Carnegie's Weill Recital Hall, and Steinway Hall.  

In 2008, he made his return debut at Bradshaw & Buono International Music Festival in Italy. In 2009, he won the fourth prize at an international piano competition in Vancouver.  Nishikawa currently holds a position at JHC Foundation Inc., the Greenwich International Conservatory of Music. He has recently published his autobiography.
