World Tour - Peace Art Journey

In 2012, the Harmony For Peace Foundation partnered with the United Nations Office for Disarmament Affairs and presented the “Art for Peace 2012” contest. This art competition called on all young artists to use their creative talents to imagine a “World Free of Nuclear Weapons.” With its launching, over 6600 submissions were sent in from 92 countries around the world.

The 12 winning art pieces illustrate a worldwide call for peace. This contest demonstrates that no matter the country of origin or the religious and cultural background, peaceful and safe surroundings, free from the threat of nuclear weapons, are a universal desire.

To spread this message both locally and internationally, the exhibit has and will travel on a “Peace Journey.”
