Christiaan Morssink, Ph.D., M.P.H., Director/Chair, Peace Committee
Executive Director, United Nations Association of Greater Philadelphia, retired Adjunct Assistant Professor at the Center of Public Health Initiatives of the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Morssink studied cultural anthropology and non-Western sociology at the University of Amsterdam in the Netherlands, and obtained a MPH from Johns Hopkins, and a Ph.D. in Health Policy and Administration from the University of Illinois at Chicago School of Public Health. Besides a long career in Public Health related work, Christiaan has been involved in promoting global awareness through citizenship activism. As such he is a founding board member of the Global Water Alliance, as well as the Global Philadelphia Association, and has joined the boards of several organizations that are deeply involved in disarmament and peace building.
