About Filip Pogády
Violinist Filip Pogády has performed on many of the world's most prestigious stages, including New York's Lincoln Center, Vienna's Konzerthaus, Prague's Rudolfinum, the Tel Aviv Opera House, and leading concert halls across Japan and South Korea. He studied under legendary violinist Pinchas Zukerman, earning his Master's degree in Violin Performance from the Manhattan School of Music on a full scholarship. Born in Bratislava, Slovakia, Pogády began violin at age seven and made his solo debut with orchestra at just eleven, after winning first prize in the Tsuzuki Violin Competition as its youngest-ever contestant. Now based in New York City, he continues to perform internationally as a soloist, chamber musician, and genre-bending collaborator — appearing on the David Letterman Show, on Saturday Night Live alongside Bad Bunny, and as a guest star on FX's Louie. He is proudly endorsed by Thomastik-Infeld.
